Key Functions
- Formulating and reviewing monetary policy on annual, half yearly and quarterly basis,
- Playing key role in working as an advisor to the government,
- Collecting, processing and analyzing macroeconomic and financial data/information of various frequencies for preparing/publishing monthly/quarterly/half yearly/annual reports and publishing the Economic Review, occasional paper,
- Monitoring daily liquidity, short-term interest rates and other financial market indicators and conducting macroeconomic diagnostics,
- Developing liaison with various international agencies in designing macroeconomic policies and sharing data, information and policy inputs to various stakeholders.
